Key Info
ChatGPT announced a Chrome extension that brings computer-use capabilities to all Chrome users, letting ChatGPT read across open tabs and, in Work mode, control tabs to complete tasks. It is available for all ChatGPT plans.
Highlights
- In Chat, ChatGPT can look across your open tabs and gather information to make answers more useful.
- In Work, ChatGPT can control Chrome tabs to send messages, fill out forms, download files, and organize or group open tabs.
- Example uses include comparing open product pages by dimensions, material, delivery time and return policy, explaining articles, comparing pricing pages against requirements, and filling registration forms (stopping before submit).
- Users start by downloading the Chrome extension; it works with all ChatGPT plans.
