Cline Launches Cloud Agents, Now Built Into Desktop App

Key Info

Cline launched Cloud Agents, letting users run Cline from the browser by giving it a task that executes in a secure cloud sandbox, writes code, tests its work, and opens a PR on the user's GitHub repo. The same Cloud Agents are now built into the Cline desktop app.

Highlights

• Cloud Agents run tasks in a secure cloud sandbox, write code, test it, then open a PR on GitHub
• Cline Desktop now runs in the cloud, supporting multiple parallel tasks each in its own sandbox
• Sessions can continue while the laptop is closed, and can be started on desktop and checked from a phone
• Works with ClinePass and a free model promo with DeepSeek V4.1 Flash
• Cline Desktop is available for Mac, Windows and Linux
