Perplexity launched Teammates, described as personal agents for work that shift the paradigm from writing prompts in a session to giving high-level goals. They are available now for Max subscribers on the web, with native mobile and desktop apps coming soon.

- Teammates monitor ongoing work and act when something changes without needing to be prompted, remember past work, and apply feedback to future tasks.
- They can collaborate with other teammates and message coworkers in Slack.
- Each teammate runs in its own isolated environment and follows Computer's existing tool and Project permissions; users can review its work, take over the desktop, or redirect it.
